Review by Mary T., Library Patron – performance at Oliver Wolcott Library, 2012
Oh my! I was the little old lady in the second row near your friend – had a smile on my face all night!
My husband (he is 88!) loved the music and the old songs – he was in his glory!
I went to take him so he could bliss out – well it was I who blissed out!
This was my first experience of hearing the songs I knew in a live concert – I was so full of endorphins that I felt like climbing over the chairs to give you a big hug (didn’t as your friend was just grinning from ear to ear and waiting to embrace you!)
I knew all the songs but two – the first Billie Holiday and one other. I LOVED the Billie Holiday number; I really loved them all! This was like being in a big show in NY City – thank you so much for getting us all away from our troubles and into the good place!
I looked around and saw so many dreamy faces – and I felt you were singing for me! You looked at me and smiled that great smile…what a night!
